Achievements

  • Odanadi has conducted more than 60 successful rescue operations and provided rehabilitation for over 2,000 women and minors
  • As a result of Odanadi's undercover investigations 138 traffickers have been arrested
  • 60 village vigilance committees have been established in some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in southern India. 
  • 200,000 school children have been educated about sexual exploitation. 
  • In 2006, a rally organized by Odanadi was attended by more than 2000 people from 370 villages: 630 missing children were returned to their families and 47 criminal cases were filed against traffickers 
  • Karnataka State Government has made is mandatory for all village councils to create vigilance committees, an innovation developed by Odanadi
  • Odanadi co-founder and director Parashuram M.L. was made an Ashoka Fellow for his innovative approach to social policing
  • Odanadi directors Stanly and Parashuram, are members of a national task force to formulate, implement and review the Citizen's Charter of the Ministry of Woman and Child Development
