Odanadi UK was founded in 2007 by British NGO director Patricia Young, who was inspired by Odanadi during a work trip to India. Back in England she contacted a number of former Odanadi volunteers, friends and colleagues and, what began as an informal committee, has since blossomed into a fully functioning registered UK charity, with a pool of regular monthly donors, operating a raft of regular fundraising and awareness raising activities.
Odanadi US (www.odanadi-us.org) was started by a group of committed activists, including Christina Lagdmeo, Deputy Director of the White House Initiative on Asian and Pacific Islanders, who spent nearly three years volunteering for Odanadi in India. They are currently working on building the U.S. arm of Odanadi to raise awareness on sex and human trafficking issues and fundraise for the organization based in India.
Odanadi Netherlands (www.odanadi-nl.org) was founded in April 2009 by former Odanadi volunteer Natasja van der Lelij. Odanadi NL acts as a supporting arm of Odanadi India through fundraising, promotion and education. The mission of Odanadi NL is to support victims of sexual exploitation and other social injustices in India and to raise awareness about this social issue and provide maximum fundraising opportunities.
